Kudos to Assemblywoman Annie Rabbit (R-Greenwood Lake) has sponsored Assembly Bill 3285 to repeal Article 23 of the New York Code. Article 23 is wlidly unpopular metropolitan commuter transportation mobility tax that was imposed on residents of NYC and surrounding counties in 2009. (taken from Statewatch pg. 20 of the July 2013 issue of American Motorcyclist).

NY Correctional Officer Ride
This event will be a scenic ride through New Paltz, NY.
There will be a fuel stop at the intersection of Route 44/55 and 209.
The event will conclude with a pizza party and socialization at the Training Center to kick off a fun filled Correctional Worker’s Week!
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the
Eric Williams Memorial Fund!

We have a ride set up for this Sunday June 9th (Salute To Veterans) we are meeting at Johnny D on RT 300 at 830am for breakfast and when we are done we will ride to Steward Airport let me know if you can make it so we can have a head count and not leave any members behind
$20 a rider and $10 a passenger -

his brother in law just opened a café near 5 corners called Café Moon and hopes NY XX can patronize whenever. At the five corners if you head down 32 just passed Hannaford's there is a little strip mall and he is in there. He wants to get together and go for a joint ride and end up there one day soon. -

Online registration is open until noon Eastern time on the Friday before the ride. The early bird rate of $40 per motorcycle includes one ticket for the prize drawing.
Onsite registration opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 9:30 a.m. The walk-up fee is $50 per bike.
The escorted ride starts at 10 a.m. sharp, rain or shine! The ride will loop back to the start point. -

The ANNUAL POLICE MEMORIAL CEREMONY AT THE ORANGE COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS MEMORIAL WALL will be held on Friday May 10, 2013 6 pm, at the Memorial wall, located at the entrance to the Orange County Courthouse, on East Main Street between Scotchtown Ave and Erie Street in Goshen. We are adding the name of Senior Officer Specialist Daniel J. Bryer, of the US DOJ Bureau of Prisons, who fell off the back of a truck during a Special Operations Response Team training exercise on 3/29/1991 during a training Otisville Federal Correctional Institution who died on March 29, 1991. Officer Bryer’s fellow officers who are lodge 957 members advised our executive board that Officer Bryer’s name was overlooked in our original research of the fallen for our wall. Please make an effort to attend this ceremony, as the attendees typically include members of many the fallen officers, their friends, families and fellow officers. Come and show that they are not forgotten. At least two of his fellow officers that were working there when he died are Lodge 957 member

Kevin would light up when he talked about the Blue Knights and how honored and proud he was to be part of such a compassionate welcoming brotherhood. To the Farrell family, you are tenderly known as, our “Blue Angels”. You did more than escort Kevin during his last ride; you carried us through the saddest day our family has ever faced. Kevin truly blessed all, by having us meet and share our loss and grief with you, his Blue Knights brothers. Your stories of Kevin and heartfelt wishes continue to be a comfort to our hearts.
